Some Wise Words from T. Starr...

A few years ago, I think I was probably 15, a fabulous sister missionary came to my branch. Her name you ask? Sister Starr. Was she the coolest? Yes. Did I love her? Yes. Was she a grape? No. (Now that is a funny joke.) So of course when it came time for me to send out graduation announcements, I sent one to this awesome lady. She sent me back an awesome card with some things she learned/advice for my freshman year at college. Here goes the list, which I am turning into a blist.

1. a. Do NOT light fireworks off inside the dorms unless you want to be in trouble!
1. b. I'm glad T. Starr told me this, it's going to save me a lot of trouble!

2. a. Scootering on campus gets you to class faster than walking.
2. b. Yay! I won a sweet-o cruiser at grad night. I'm super excited to use it!

3. a. Look for hair in the mashed potatoes in the cafeteria. Sick nasty!
3. b. I will not be eating in a cafeteria, but I will still keep my eyes peeled.
3. c. I never understood the phrase "eyes peeled." It makes me think of peeled grapes. Ew?

4. a. Naps are golden.
4. b. Napping is one of the things I do best. I am glad to know this vital piece of information.

5. Get involved in your ward... You'll gain amazing friends!

6. a. Always go to class! Don't skip...so when you accidentally sleep through your english final the professor forgives you! :) Whoops.
6. b. I would LOVE to know the story behind this...

7. Do random/crazy things like "Dorm Idol" (like American Idol) and videotape it.
7. b. If we did a talent show, I would for sure show off my "How many jelly beans can Sydney fit in her mouth?" trick. It's definitely a crowd pleaser.

8. Don't facebook all day...get out and do stuff!

9. a. Don't sneak dogs, snakes, bunnies into the dorms...not worth it.
9. b. I would also like to hear this story...Hmmm...

10. Work hard and play hard!!! These are for sure memories in the making!

11. Pray and read those scriptures!!!

So basically, I love this lady like I love...diamonds. That's sayin' a lot right there. In conclusion, I would like to tell a joke that T. Starr told me.

Ask me if I'm a grape.

Adios!
